Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior retail or customer service experience preferred
- basic math skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to stand for extended periods
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- reliable transportation
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences
- good interpersonal communication skills
- good organizational skills
- previous cashier or stocking experience preferred
- ability to drive manual transmission vehicle
- fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired
Job Duties
- Greet customers on sales floor and assist with locating merchandise
- direct customers to parts specialist for complex needs
- check in, price, and stock merchandise
- keep display floor fronted, full, and clean
- update display changes and price tags according to company guidelines
- maintain sale signage and sales flyer racks
- handle merchandise returns efficiently
- deter shoplifting and support front floor security
- assist with store To Do List and team weekly tasks
- provide friendly and quick checkout service as cashier
- process payments including money, checks, and credit cards
- assist customers during busy times when express lane is not used
- participate in stock adjustments and cycle counts
