  • Associate's degree plus two years of full-time office work

Job Duties

  • Serve as first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person or via telephone to CAPS department
  • Answer incoming calls professionally
  • schedule patient appointments in a complex electronic medical record
  • check in scheduled patients per established protocols
  • Assess and provide information to patients using good judgment while ensuring confidentiality
  • Process clinical data forms through electronic medical record software prior to appointments
  • Assist patients by answering questions related to clinical data forms professionally
  • Complete immediate re-booking of changed or cancelled appointments
  • Keep client electronic charts up to date
  • Accurately enter billing data based on clinical services
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to manage clientele and community
  • Exercise confidentiality around documentation and sharing of client information
  • Assist CAPS team with preparing psychoeducational materials and general correspondence
  • Act as liaison with other UNL departments, local hospitals and community agencies
  • Open and close reception and workroom area based on rotating schedule
