Job Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- standing for extended periods of time

- pass background checks and meet any licensing requirements

Job Qualifications

- must display respect, gentleness, and accountability when interacting with crisis guests and recovery program residents
- must be teachable and function as a team player
- J03 license required within 90 days of hire.
Job Duties
- Communicate with the Recovery Services Supervisor regarding resident service assignments and responsibilities
- track resident movement in and out of the facility and monitor in-house resident visitations
- help residents to resolve conflicts and become solution-oriented with the problems they experience
- look for opportunities to make referrals to the appropriate staff for follow-up counseling
- be vigilant for any inappropriate behaviors including smoking, drugs or alcohol possession or use, threats or physical violence, thievery, and/or weapons
- exhibit non-threatening conflict resolution amidst guest or resident disputes
- enforce program principles and procedures in a spirit of compassion and respect
- document any and all corrective actions, filing where designated and routing copies when appropriate
- manifest vigilance in helping to prevent accidents, acts of violence and/or any crisis situations
- note and correct hazards or refer to the Recovery Services Supervisor for follow-up
- notify appropriate local emergency personnel when needed and call the Recovery Services Supervisor as indicated
- defuse and/or refer all incoming crisis telephone calls and document for follow-up
- attend monthly Recovery Program staff meetings
- attend internal/external trainings, staff meetings, or seminars as suggested
- attend required first aid, CPR, and fire safety trainings
- supervise evening cleaning crew preparations
- perform additional duties as assigned
- take every opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others
- provide spiritual encouragement to staff, volunteers, guests, and residents
- invest in the spiritual development of staff, guests, residents, and donors
- pray for and with staff, volunteers, guests, residents, and donors
- ensure actions and policies reflect the Christian values and purpose of the Mission
- handle relational conflicts according to the Staff Covenant of Romans 12:18 and Matthew 18:15-19
- memorize monthly Scripture, Mission Statement, and Mission Core Values
- participate in corporate prayer and Scripture reading, staff chapel services, and spiritual gatherings
- support and attend annual mandatory Evangelism In Service training
- participate in annual spiritual growth training through organization curriculum.
