Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years documented restaurant P&L management experience
- overall 5 to 7 years restaurant experience in related type
- demonstrated team management and multitasking abilities
- ability to understand and apply policies, menu, and brand standards
- effective communication skills
- ability to work flexible and rotating schedules
- valid work authorization
- capable of maintaining safety and health compliance
- physical ability to manage restaurant operations during shifts
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience managing quick-service or similar restaurant types
- demonstrated ability to manage P&L with success over multiple annual cycles
- strong leadership, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, and operations standards or ability to acquire within reasonable time
- effective communication skills including speaking, reading, and comprehension
- experience with training and coaching teams
- familiarity with restaurant management information systems
- understanding of brand and landlord lease agreements
- ability to work a varied schedule including opening, busy, and closing shifts
Job Duties
- Open and close the restaurant ensuring all checklist requirements are completed
- manage staffing, deployment, scheduling, and assign work tasks to maximize profitability
- provide consistent support, coaching, and encouragement to restaurant staff
- interview, hire, terminate, promote, and manage associates and their performance
- ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation standards
- maintain product availability and manage supply chain relationships
- monitor financial and operational reports and take corrective actions
- oversee restaurant cleanliness, visual appeal, and customer service resolution
- implement marketing and promotional programs as directed
- maintain proficiency in management systems and tools
