Job Requirements

  • Associate degree required
  • At least 3 years of experience working with seniors
  • Minimum 1 year of specialized experience in dementia care
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in programming or memory care initiatives
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to develop and implement therapeutic programming
  • Familiarity with state regulations and memory care compliance standards
  • Ability to work with families and manage dementia-related behavioral challenges
  • Proactive and resident-centered approach
  • Ability to collaborate with management and staff

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strongly preferred: Activities Director Certification, CDP, CTRS, or related credentials
  • Minimum 3 years working with seniors
  • at least 1 year focused on dementia care
  • 3-5 years leading programming or Memory Care initiatives
  • Experience supporting behavioral needs, educating families, and training staff
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication
  • Program development and planning expertise
  • Problem-solving, time-management, and change-management ability
  • Compassionate, resident-focused, proactive, and professional

Job Duties

  • Lead day-to-day Memory Care operations with a resident-first mindset
  • Train, coach, and support Memory Care associates in partnership with the Health & Wellness Director
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, Charter policies, and Flourish program standards
  • Develop meaningful therapeutic and life enrichment programming tailored to resident needs
  • Partner with residents' families, offering support, education, and open communication
  • Monitor behavioral trends, develop care strategies, and support staff in managing dementia-related challenges
  • Participate in community events, tours, and initiatives that support occupancy development
  • Serve as a role model of professionalism, compassion, and service excellence
