Job Duties
- Setting up workstations
- Cleaning and organizing workstations
- Preparing ingredients such as washing vegetables and seasoning meat
- Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shifts
- Taking orders from wait staff or computerized systems
- Cooking orders according to food health and safety standards
- Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes
- Handling multiple food orders simultaneously
- Monitoring orders as they arrive
- Dressing orders for presentation
- Ensuring each guest order has correct food and sides
- Delivering food orders to wait staff timely
- Storing food properly
- Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils
- Reordering stock and food supplies
- Assisting other cooks and team members when needed
