Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience in a member service or similar role
  • Knowledge of credit union accounts and products
  • Ability to handle multiple functions quickly and accurately
  • Must be bondable
  • Registered pursuant to S.A.F.E Act requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to comply with all relevant regulations and policies
  • Must report to work punctually and complete scheduled hours

Job Qualifications

  • Must have at least one year of similar or related experience or 12 months in an MSR role with knowledge of credit union accounts and products
  • High energy and sales ability with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work assignments and organize work efficiently
  • Demonstrates good time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications
  • Proven relationship building skills and techniques
  • Must be self-motivated and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to maintain composure and problem solve as issues arise
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Reports to work punctually and works scheduled hours
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be bondable
  • Registered pursuant to the S.A.F.E Act
  • Adheres to all relevant state, federal and credit union regulations, policies, and guidelines

Job Duties

  • Adheres to the Credit Union Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision
  • Demonstrates a positive member service focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business
  • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities
  • Ensures confidentiality of member information
  • Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Sales - asks questions, listens to members’ needs and offers solutions that best fit the member
  • Acts as part of a cohesive team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and positive interactions with employees
  • Ensures confidentiality of member account information, requests identification when necessary, and provides account information only to authorized members
  • Profiles each member to uncover opportunities for additional business
  • Structures loan applications, works with underwriters, and adheres to lending policies and regulations
  • Makes weekly outbound sales calls to members
  • Performs all aspects of the Member Service Representative position, including cash drawer balancing and understanding credit union policies for cash handling, check handling, and identification
  • Builds member relationships by recognizing financial needs and offering appropriate GreenState products or referrals
  • Participates in promotions, contests, and team activities
  • Responsible for sales of loan protection products
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of federal regulations and procedures concerning deposits
  • Performs vault duties including cash ordering, balancing, and audits
  • Participates in community service organizations and credit union sponsored events
