Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum two years of related teller, customer service, and cash handling experience
  • must be bondable
  • acceptable credit history
  • Notary Public license
  • comply with all applicable laws and regulations including Regulation CC, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA Patriot Act, and Customer Identification Program (CIP)
  • strong mathematical and reasoning skills
  • effective communication abilities
  • ability to work at any Southern Maine branch as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Empeople credit union products and services
  • understanding of Empeople policies and procedures pertaining to member services
  • ability to operate PCs using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • proficiency with credit union financial software for account access and transactions
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • ability to manage branch lobby and meet service level expectations
  • capability to educate members on digital banking technologies
  • strong organizational and detail orientation skills
  • familiarity with regulatory compliance and anti-fraud measures

Job Duties

  • Greet members promptly and deliver a concierge-level service experience
  • process account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash and check handling
  • perform general account maintenance functions accurately and efficiently
  • assist members with digital banking products such as mobile and online banking
  • handle inquiries and resolve problems related to products and services
  • identify and recommend cross-sell opportunities to enhance member financial health
  • ensure daily cash management, recordkeeping, and office security in compliance with credit union policies
