Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior retail or cashier experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • basic math skills
  • willingness to comply with company policies and safety procedures
  • maintain a drug-free workplace
  • excellent interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps
  • follow forklift spotting procedures
  • follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
  • follow company steel standard guidelines
  • correct and report unsafe situations to facility management
  • Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying members needs
  • assist members with purchasing decisions
  • locate merchandise
  • resolve member issues and concerns
  • promote the company's products and services
  • provide guidance and support to members regarding member self-service technology
  • process member purchases
  • assist members with payments according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types
  • assist members with transactions utilizing registers or self-checkout area
  • zone the area
  • arrange and organize merchandise
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans
  • use the Open Door Policy
  • and apply these in executing business processes and practices
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources
  • collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners
  • identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations
  • carry out tasks

  • determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities
