Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, recreation or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to four years of job-related experience
  • Experience supervising or advising student leaders
  • Ability to commit to high ethical standards and integrity
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Basic knowledge of office computer applications and data management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality, recreation or related field or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience supervising or advising student leaders
  • Two to four years of job-related experience
  • Skills in communication, planning, service delivery and conflict resolution
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of operations and services of a large recreation complex
  • Basic proficiency in office applications including Excel and data reporting
  • Demonstrated commitment to staff development
  • High standards of integrity and ethical behavior

Job Duties

  • Develop and lead member recruitment strategy including marketing, promotions, trial membership, tours, orientations, surveys, events, and referral programs
  • Oversee member engagement desk staffing including hiring, training, and supervising student employees
  • Train member services staff on membership software, customer service, and risk management
  • Coordinate member retention programs including appreciation events, renewals, retention rewards, and exit surveys
  • Compile and report statistical data for membership revenue, expenses, locker services, deposits, refunds, and reconciliations
  • Coordinate access for Institute, community, and summer groups to the facility
  • Assist in the development and assessment of student development initiatives, training, and practices
  • Liaise with marketing and communications to promote programs, services, and events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
