Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age or older
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- previous customer service and sales experience preferred
- intermediate or advanced knowledge of technology
- certifications required within thirty days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid for adults, children, and infants
- completion of YMCA's online training upon date of hire and periodically thereafter

Job Duties
- Provides exceptional customer service by exceeding guest expectations
- consistently greets every person who enters the YMCA and recognizes all members and guests when they leave
- engages in active listening with prospects, members and program participants to build relationships and understand individual goals
- utilizes current operating software systems for membership sales, program registrations, and other functions
- receives and documents payments to ensure balanced end-of-shift reports
- provides accurate information about membership, programs, and facilities
- follows and enforces YMCA procedures and policies including safety and membership policies
- actively listens and responds to customer questions and concerns in a caring manner
- ensures the safety and well-being of consumers by maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to abuse reporting requirements
- attends and remains current on all mandatory training and staff meetings
