Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Previous customer service and sales experience preferred
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of technology
  • Willingness to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of YMCA's online training upon date of hire and periodically thereafter
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including mid-day, closing, and Saturday afternoon shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of technology
  • Ability to attend mandatory training and staff meetings
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and recognizing all members and guests
  • Engage in active listening with prospects, members, and program participants to build relationships and understand their goals
  • Utilize current operating software systems for membership sales, program registrations, and related functions
  • Receive and document payments ensuring a balanced end-of-shift report
  • Provide accurate information regarding membership, programs, and facility resources
  • Follow and enforce YMCA personnel, safety, facility access, and membership policies
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns in a caring manner and resolve issues promptly
