Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in the restaurant business, not fast food, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic
  • Understanding of wine and spirits products and sales
  • Ability to solve problems independently and lead a team
  • Ability to treat subordinates respectfully while maintaining standards through training and feedback
  • Verification of previous employment, references, and background check
  • Extensive use of computer programs
  • Ability to work extended hours on feet and lift 50 lbs
  • TN ABC Card required
  • Serve Safe Certification required or obtained after hire

Job Qualifications

  • 2 year college or equivalent restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Proficiency in Spanish encouraged
  • Ability to analyze reports, manuals, and business correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and email
  • Restaurant experience required - full service
  • Management experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of fine wine and spirits helpful
  • Computer literacy with POS and accounting software helpful
  • High energy, positive outlook, and good sense of humor

Job Duties

  • Insure each guest enjoys a perfect night out
  • Be a clientele builder
  • Coordinate the service of servers, server assistants and bussers
  • Solve service problems
  • Manage opening shifts including staffing, reservations, training meetings, bookkeeping, and receiving
  • Manage closing shifts including server checkouts, cash deposits, accounting reconciliation, and closing work assignments
  • Oversee specialty areas such as wine and spirits, small wares, payroll, training, facility maintenance, purchasing, POS management, marketing, and special projects
