Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- two years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related professional area
- or two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- one year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related professional area
- ability to conduct event operations and budget management
- strong customer service orientation
- effective communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to work full time and in a management capacity

Job Duties
- assist in planning and execution of meetings and special events
- support seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales
- research and analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and services
- conduct daily banquet floor walk-throughs to ensure quality and client satisfaction
- assist in developing relationships with vendors and negotiate service agreements
- create upselling opportunities during event planning
- respond to guest problems and complaints to maintain exceptional customer service
