Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • two years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related professional area
  • or two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • one year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related professional area
  • ability to conduct event operations and budget management
  • strong customer service orientation
  • effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work full time and in a management capacity

Job Qualifications

  • or two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field
  • one year of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales, marketing, or related area
  • knowledge of event management strategies and budget handling
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage team and foster positive guest relations

Job Duties

  • assist in planning and execution of meetings and special events
  • support seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales
  • research and analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and services
  • conduct daily banquet floor walk-throughs to ensure quality and client satisfaction
  • assist in developing relationships with vendors and negotiate service agreements
  • create upselling opportunities during event planning
  • respond to guest problems and complaints to maintain exceptional customer service
