Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Ability to conduct daily walk-throughs and ensure quality standards
  • Strong communication and guest relations skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control expenses
  • Capable of upselling and working with vendors
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle guest problems and complaints effectively
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting and vendor relations
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence

Job Duties

  • Research and analyze new products, pricing and services of competition
  • Assist in apprising property of all groups that will impact property operations
  • Assist in execution of event management strategy aligned with company’s business strategy
  • Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
  • Assist in developing working relationships with outside vendors and establishing prices and service agreements
  • Create opportunities to upsell during event planning
  • Assist in managing department controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget goals
