Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- Ability to conduct daily walk-throughs and ensure quality standards
- Strong communication and guest relations skills
- Ability to manage budgets and control expenses
- Capable of upselling and working with vendors
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle guest problems and complaints effectively
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of budgeting and vendor relations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence
Job Duties
- Research and analyze new products, pricing and services of competition
- Assist in apprising property of all groups that will impact property operations
- Assist in execution of event management strategy aligned with company’s business strategy
- Conduct daily walk-through of banquet floor to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
- Assist in developing working relationships with outside vendors and establishing prices and service agreements
- Create opportunities to upsell during event planning
- Assist in managing department controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget goals
