Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
  • Ability to conduct daily event walkthroughs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capability to manage budgets and control expenses
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Availability for full-time work
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of event planning and execution
  • Experienced in customer service and guest relations
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and vendor relationships

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning and execution of meetings and special events
  • Execute departmental strategies aligned with company goals
  • Manage seamless event turnover from sales to operations and back
  • Conduct daily banquet floor walkthroughs to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
  • Develop working relationships with outside vendors and establish pricing and service agreements
  • Create upselling opportunities during event planning
  • Manage department controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget goals
  • Create an atmosphere that exceeds guest expectations
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Strive for continuous improvement in service performance
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings
