Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- Ability to conduct daily event walkthroughs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Capability to manage budgets and control expenses
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Availability for full-time work
- Willingness to relocate if necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year of relevant experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of event planning and execution
- Experienced in customer service and guest relations
- Proficiency in managing budgets and vendor relationships
Job Duties
- Assist in planning and execution of meetings and special events
- Execute departmental strategies aligned with company goals
- Manage seamless event turnover from sales to operations and back
- Conduct daily banquet floor walkthroughs to ensure client satisfaction and quality standards
- Develop working relationships with outside vendors and establish pricing and service agreements
- Create upselling opportunities during event planning
- Manage department controllable expenses to meet or exceed budget goals
- Create an atmosphere that exceeds guest expectations
- Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
- Strive for continuous improvement in service performance
- Emphasize guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings
