Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years experience in event management or conference services
- proficiency in industry-standard event management software
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
- physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting up to 15 lbs occasionally
- willingness to participate in site visits and client meetings
Job Qualifications
- high school degree or equivalent education
- 3-5 years experience in event management or conference services
- luxury hotel experience preferred
- extensive knowledge of entertainment market
- bachelor’s degree
- experience with Delphi and Opera software
- knowledge of food and beverage products and presentation
- knowledge of meeting room capacities and banquet setup
- basic math skills
- excellent verbal and written communication in English
- advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Job Duties
- maintain strong client relations and ensure conference specifications are communicated and executed
- monitor and manage room blocks and meeting space according to contract
- review sales contracts and validate with clients via turnover letter
- produce and distribute conference resumes and banquet event orders
- work closely with culinary team on catering events
- collaborate with director of catering on best practices and standard operating procedures
- forecast group rooms and food and beverage revenues within a 5 percent variance
- check room blocks and special room concessions with reservation agents
- participate in site visits and planning meetings
- review and verify client billing for accuracy and timeliness
- compile cancellation and attrition charges
- send thank you notes and meeting critiques
- perform other duties as required
