Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in event management or conference services
  • proficiency with Delphi and Opera software preferred
  • strong leadership and client relationship skills
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • ability to work collaboratively with culinary and sales teams
  • basic math and billing skills
  • physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • ability to sit for extended periods and move throughout the property
  • compliance with company policies including drug-free workplace

Job Qualifications

  • high school degree or equivalent education
  • 3-5 years previous experience in event management or conference services
  • luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
  • extensive knowledge of entertainment market
  • bachelor’s degree
  • Delphi and Opera experience, cloud-based experience preferred
  • extensive knowledge of food and beverage products and presentation
  • extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, and audio-visual requirements
  • basic math skills for billing
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Duties

  • maintain strong client relations and ensure clear communication of conference specifications
  • monitor and manage room blocks and meeting space according to contracts
  • review sales contracts and validate terms with clients
  • produce and distribute conference resumes and banquet event orders prior to events
  • collaborate extensively with culinary teams for catering and banquet execution
  • establish best practices and standard operating procedures for conference services
  • accurately forecast group rooms and food and beverage revenues
  • check and update special room concessions and rates
  • participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups
  • review bills for accuracy and compile cancellation or attrition charges
  • send thank you notes and meeting critiques to clients
  • perform other duties as assigned
