Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience in event management or conference services
- proficiency with Delphi and Opera software preferred
- strong leadership and client relationship skills
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
- capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- ability to work collaboratively with culinary and sales teams
- basic math and billing skills
- physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
- ability to sit for extended periods and move throughout the property
- compliance with company policies including drug-free workplace
Job Qualifications
- high school degree or equivalent education
- 3-5 years previous experience in event management or conference services
- luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
- extensive knowledge of entertainment market
- bachelor’s degree
- Delphi and Opera experience, cloud-based experience preferred
- extensive knowledge of food and beverage products and presentation
- extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, and audio-visual requirements
- basic math skills for billing
- excellent communication skills in English
- advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Job Duties
- maintain strong client relations and ensure clear communication of conference specifications
- monitor and manage room blocks and meeting space according to contracts
- review sales contracts and validate terms with clients
- produce and distribute conference resumes and banquet event orders prior to events
- collaborate extensively with culinary teams for catering and banquet execution
- establish best practices and standard operating procedures for conference services
- accurately forecast group rooms and food and beverage revenues
- check and update special room concessions and rates
- participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups
- review bills for accuracy and compile cancellation or attrition charges
- send thank you notes and meeting critiques to clients
- perform other duties as assigned
