Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, communications, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years experience in corporate event planning, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or scientific research
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Experience with event budgets and contracts
  • Knowledge of event technologies including hybrid delivery
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate event planning in pharmaceutical, biotech, or scientific research settings
  • Demonstrated expertise in time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Experience managing small to mid-size event budgets
  • Knowledge of vendor negotiation and contract terms
  • Proficiency in event technologies and hybrid delivery platforms
  • Familiarity with R&D or scientific organizational culture
  • Certification in Meeting & Event Planning (CMP or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Manage and mentor event coordinator and concierge
  • Lead planning and execution of internal and external events including venue setup, vendor coordination, material coordination, transportation, travel, catering, and AV/tech support
  • Develop event timelines and facilitate planning meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Design and deliver tailored event experiences
  • Manage event budgets, contracts, and procurement compliance
  • Partner with AV providers for technical event support
  • Oversee front-of-house concierge operations
  • Engage with senior leadership on event strategy and objectives
  • Coordinate event communications with the Communications team
  • Analyze post-event feedback and metrics
  • Stay current on event technology trends
