Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • minimum 4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • certified meeting professional (CMP) certification preferred
  • working knowledge of event management software such as CVENT
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Teams and Excel
  • experience coordinating with external vendors and managing contracts
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • willingness to travel approximately 25 percent including nights and weekends
  • residency near Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, or Cleveland, OH, for office proximity

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
  • 4 plus years experience in related field preferred
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
  • working knowledge of CVENT or other event management tools
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office including Teams and Excel
  • experience working with outside vendors and vetting venues
  • experience working through vendor contracts
  • strong organizational skills
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment
  • ability to travel at least 25 percent including some nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Leads planning and execution of meetings
  • manages event budget including developing forecast, real-time updates, and post-event finalization
  • manages event reconciliation post-event including charges validation and cost breakdown for Sunshine reporting
  • leads onsite meeting logistics including venue and vendor selection and coordination for audio visual, food and beverage, and other needs
  • ensures adherence to Cardinal Health compliance guidelines
  • participates in internal and external meetings on a regular basis
  • works in CVENT to set up event registration sites and update information as needed
  • identifies meeting materials and production needs and coordinates with Meeting Coordinator for execution and shipping
  • serves as primary onsite contact for venues and vendors
  • works cross-functionally with Meeting Coordinator, Meeting Recruiters, Marketing, and other teams as needed
