Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous customer service experience preferred
- ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- excellent communication skills
- ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- able to work early morning shifts starting at 6am
- physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- willingness to work in a fast paced hospitality environment
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service
- able to multi task in a fast paced environment
- proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- previous experience in a four diamond or luxury hotel or resort environment preferred
- previous convention service experience preferred
- able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Job Duties
- Being alert and attentive to guests' needs
- presenting a friendly attitude and excellent listening abilities
- maintaining professional uniformed attire
- overcoming guest challenges calmly by listening and problem-solving
- obtaining and utilizing daily event information such as reader boards, event sheets, and BEOs
- keeping confidential group information secure
- responding to guest and planner needs promptly
- following up to ensure guest satisfaction
- communicating effectively with hotel departments via Nextel, email, and phone
- providing daily reports of guest service issues
- delivering information on guest services and meeting room benefits
- being knowledgeable about local attractions and providing pre-printed directions
- promoting hotel outlets and suggestive selling
- providing information on resort health club, spa, and golf facilities
- being aware of hotel fire safety procedures and routes
