Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-5 years relevant experience in event planning or related field
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to apply technical judgment to analyze solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and vendors
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive attitude
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience and apply appropriate judgment
- Broad knowledge of event planning principles and techniques
- Experience coordinating multiple large-scale events successfully
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within a team environment
Job Duties
- Develop end-to-end event plans to ensure flawless execution from start to finish
- Produce detailed event planning timelines and track progress
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Distribute event orders and schedules to vendors and team defining event specifics
- Create timelines and floorplans for set-up, event flow, and event set up and tear down details
- Oversee pre-event client planning meetings including acquiring vendors, menu planning, theme and decor, budgets
- Support event communication and marketing plan
- Solve issues as they arise
- Act as key contact for day of the event ensuring seamless delivery by event operations team and vendors
- Responsible for on-site coordination including confirming load in, set up time and verifying insurance certificates
- Support events team with execution, directing set-up and tear down, welcoming guests, and assisting attendee and speaker requests
- Conduct post-event reporting and reconciliation
- Suggest recommendations for continuous improvement and cost efficiency
- Present information to senior management
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems
- Lead by example modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values
- Impact own work quality and that of others
- Work within standardized procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
- Explain complex information in straightforward situations
