Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in event planning or coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency with event planning software and Microsoft Office
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors and manage contracts
  • Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality events
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to event planning

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events and meetings, from initial conception to final execution
  • Develop event budgets and timelines, and ensure all events stay within budget and are executed on time
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all event details are communicated and executed effectively
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with vendors to secure the best services and prices for events
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and audio-visual needs
  • Create and distribute event invitations and manage RSVPs
  • Coordinate event registration and handle attendee inquiries
  • Develop event agendas and ensure all necessary materials and equipment are prepared and available
  • Monitor and track event expenses and provide regular updates to management
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and make recommendations for future improvements
  • Act as the main point of contact for event attendees and handle any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Stay updated on industry trends and make recommendations for incorporating new ideas and technologies into events
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all health and safety regulations
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed
