Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 4 years experience in meetings industry
- Experience in project management
- Proficient in vendor management and negotiation
- Experience supervising and mentoring a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced financial knowledge
- Proficient with G-Suite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving walking, standing, lifting up to 40 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4 years experience in meetings industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project management skills with a focus on event planning
- Proficient in vendor management and negotiation
- Experience supervising and mentoring a team
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to write reports, manuals, presentations and respond effectively to sensitive issues
- Advanced financial knowledge and budget management skills
- Proficient with G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
- Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Lead and execute all elements of event planning and management as the primary point of contact
- Handle Tier 1 large, complex and offsite events for high-profile engagements
- Develop and communicate end-to-end event plans, engaging in curation and ideation
- Source, select, and recommend vendors for catering, decor, entertainment, and giveaways
- Organize event logistics including set-up, staff communication, vendor management, attendee and speaker requests, and tear-down
- Manage food and beverage services including menu planning and catering selection
- Support budget creation and adherence, ensuring timely request and review of invoices
