Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in hospitality, hotel, or conference center environment
  • Knowledge of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complicated information and convey performance expectations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in hospitality, hotel, or conference center environment preferred
  • Skilled in staffing, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring and rewarding performance
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Job Duties

  • Provide formal supervision to employees
  • Monitor the training and development of staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and mentor
  • Lead recruiting and hiring of new employees
  • Coordinate and manage daily team activities including schedules and task assignments
  • Establish and track staff and department deadlines
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Support other Event Managers during high profile or large events
  • Manage safety processes to ensure team compliance
  • Serve as primary client contact for meeting and event forecasts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and complaints
  • Maintain department budget and approve purchase orders
  • Implement operational improvements
  • Align operations and vendors with location requirements
  • Track department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks
  • Lead by example modeling CBRE RISE values
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues
