Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, or conference center environment
- Knowledge of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance
- Ability to handle sensitive and complicated information and convey performance expectations
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in hospitality, hotel, or conference center environment preferred
- Skilled in staffing, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring and rewarding performance
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Job Duties
- Provide formal supervision to employees
- Monitor the training and development of staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and mentor
- Lead recruiting and hiring of new employees
- Coordinate and manage daily team activities including schedules and task assignments
- Establish and track staff and department deadlines
- Mentor and coach team members
- Support other Event Managers during high profile or large events
- Manage safety processes to ensure team compliance
- Serve as primary client contact for meeting and event forecasts
- Troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries and complaints
- Maintain department budget and approve purchase orders
- Implement operational improvements
- Align operations and vendors with location requirements
- Track department SLAs, KPIs, and benchmarks
- Lead by example modeling CBRE RISE values
- Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues
