Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
  • punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating system
  • ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • capacity to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
  • experience or ability to learn Resource Patient Management System and Electronic Health Record software

Job Qualifications

  • Have graduated from high school obtaining a diploma or an equivalent GED
  • have good communication and people skills
  • have good work ethic including punctuality and adherence to scheduled workdays
  • have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows

Job Duties

  • Answer the telephone and refer calls to proper person
  • answer general questions about the respective program such as behavioral health, optometry, administration, audiology hours and appointment procedures
  • greet and receive patients and have patients complete patient information forms
  • create and manage records using computer software
  • provide information about the organization to the public or route customers' questions to the appropriate person
  • receive patients, explain method of procedures, set up and adjust accessory equipment and perform required procedures
  • coordinate the appointment system including compiling appointment data, mailing appointment notices, and handling waiting lists
  • respond to patient concerns or complaints and assist with documenting official complaints and coordinating resolution
  • assist with consults, care coordination, and referrals for patients
  • assess and interpret situations to determine proper action including emergency response to medical, fire, security, or police services
  • maintain and utilize the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • perform other related duties as assigned
