Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma
  • Prior experience in long-term care environment preferred
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional behavior

Job Duties

  • Answer phones and transfer calls to appropriate staff members as well as take clear and concise messages
  • Greet visitors as they enter the facility and provide direction to visitors, residents, and vendors while maintaining the visitor log
  • Understand and adhere to emergency procedures, respond to residents, staff, visitors, and building emergencies by following established policies including placing phone calls for assistance or notification
  • Maintain an orderly work area
  • Exhibit appropriate behavior and conversation with staff, residents, visitors, and vendors
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect
  • Be familiar with and comply with Resident's Rights, ensure resident safety and promptly report all complaints, accidents, and incidents to supervisor
  • Attend and participate in orientation, educational in-services, and required annual training
  • Assist the Business Office Manager with accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and resident account functions
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as requested
