Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • DPS Level I fingerprint clearance must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment
  • CPR First Aid AED certification if required must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment
  • Current valid Arizona driver's license and 39-month motor vehicle report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements if required
  • Initial current negative TB test result if required employer provides

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-4 years of office experience including working with the public required
  • Medical office experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets members and visitors in person or by telephone answering or referring their inquiries
  • Schedules appointments in person or by telephone
  • Assists with keeping members' appointments on schedule by notifying staff of member's arrival
  • Provides customer service by answering members' questions and conducts interactions in a confidential courteous professional and timely manner
  • Maintains the reception area keeping it organized and tidy
  • Routinely checks with nursing staff to provide assistance with certified mail copying faxes chart retrieval etc.
  • Maintains office equipment
  • Performs inventory control and orders supplies
  • Gathers information on community resources for medical staff
  • Adheres to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996
  • Develops maintains and updates files logs manuals and handbooks for medical staff
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of position
