Job Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- DPS Level I fingerprint clearance must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment
- CPR First Aid AED certification if required must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment
- Current valid Arizona driver's license and 39-month motor vehicle report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements if required
- Initial current negative TB test result if required employer provides
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-4 years of office experience including working with the public required
- Medical office experience preferred
Job Duties
- Greets members and visitors in person or by telephone answering or referring their inquiries
- Schedules appointments in person or by telephone
- Assists with keeping members' appointments on schedule by notifying staff of member's arrival
- Provides customer service by answering members' questions and conducts interactions in a confidential courteous professional and timely manner
- Maintains the reception area keeping it organized and tidy
- Routinely checks with nursing staff to provide assistance with certified mail copying faxes chart retrieval etc.
- Maintains office equipment
- Performs inventory control and orders supplies
- Gathers information on community resources for medical staff
- Adheres to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996
- Develops maintains and updates files logs manuals and handbooks for medical staff
- Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of position
