Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • DPS Level I fingerprint clearance must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment
  • CPR First Aid AED certification if required must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment
  • current valid Arizona Driver's License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements if required
  • initial current negative TB test result if required employer provides

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2-4 years of office experience including working with the public required
  • medical office experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greets members and visitors in person or by telephone answering or referring their inquiries
  • schedules appointments in person or by telephone
  • assists with keeping members' appointments on schedule by notifying staff of member's arrival
  • provides customer service by answering members' questions and conducts interactions in a confidential courteous professional and timely manner
  • maintains the reception area keeping it organized and tidy
  • routinely checks with nursing staff to provide assistance with certified mail copying faxes chart retrieval etc
  • maintains office equipment
  • performs inventory control and orders supplies
  • gathers information on community resources for medical staff
  • adheres to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996
  • develops maintains and updates files logs manuals and handbooks for medical staff
  • maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance
  • performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of position
