Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year of job-related experience
- preferred knowledge of state-specific occupational medicine requirements
- ability to use logic for decision making
- excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- understanding of HIPAA and PHI confidentiality requirements
- effective communication and relationship management skills
- intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- ability to manage all front office functions
- willingness to undertake medical assistant duties as assigned
- full-time availability for Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM shift

- capability to perform front office operations efficiently
- motivation to meet or exceed established service standards
Job Duties
- Greet patients and visitors
- communicate wait times to patients and direct them accordingly
- obtain authorization as needed to process patients for services
- check in patients using appropriate patient management system
- explain required forms to patients and ensure proper completion
- answer incoming telephone lines and direct callers accordingly
- contact patients regarding appointment reminders, rescheduling, or cancellations
- check out patients and distribute records
- file paperwork, medical records, and correspondence
- maintain inventory of office supplies and printed forms
- manage dissemination of paperwork to outside parties
- follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules
- attend center staff meetings
- participate in training as required
- complete processing of patient referrals accurately
- assist Center Operations Director with daily administrative functions
- help maintain a neat and orderly facility
- use employer reporting tool to scan and distribute results
- review clinician transcriptions and enter charges
- perform designated medical assistant duties such as breath tests, drug screens, and TB skin test readings
