Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum one year post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated customer service abilities
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, staff and patients
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and dedication to teamwork
  • Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients with confidentiality
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to a team environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare environment preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person or via the telephone
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Check in and check out patients per established protocols
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately
  • Register patients and update their records
  • Provide high-level customer service to physicians, patients and internal/external customers
  • Communicate effectively with clinic staff and physicians while maintaining confidentiality
