Job Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Active and valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 10 lbs
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
- Willingness to travel 15-20% to other office locations
- Ability to work both in-office and remotely as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Active and valid driver's license upon hire and throughout employment
- Ability to learn and practice Pediatric Associate procedures, policies, and protocols
- Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal skills to communicate effectively in written documents
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired
- Ability to interact effectively, support staff, and maintain professional working relationships
- Provide excellent customer service, greet and receive patients/visitors professionally and friendly
- Maintain professional phone skills and etiquette, speak clearly and concisely
- Use good judgment and maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to file alpha and numerically
- Experience using computer systems, scanners, printers, and fax machines
Job Duties
- Check-in patients upon arrival including updating demographics, insurance information, PCP, pharmacy, collect co-pays and patient balances, provide consents for signature and appropriate health questionnaires
- Check out patients, collect additional balances, provide visit summary, specialist referral information, patient portal information, completed forms, and follow-up appointments
- Verify patient insurance through Batch Eligibility or on demand, contact patients whose insurance is not active or PCP is not appropriate
- Post-patient charges and payments, complete charge and payment reconciliation
- Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system
- Sort and deliver mail and PA documents received by courier, maintain a clean work and patient waiting area
- Participate in staff and educational meetings
