Job Requirements
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Valid driver’s license required upon hire and throughout employment
- Ability to learn and practice Pediatric Associate procedures policies and protocols
- Proficient grammar spelling and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong phone etiquette
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to file alphabetically and numerically
- Experience using computer systems scanner printer fax
- Willingness to travel 15 to 20 percent
- Ability to stand sit reach lift up to 10 pounds and wear personal protective equipment
- Comfortable working in a patient-facing indoor environment
- Availability for full-time day schedule

Job Duties
- Check in patients upon arrival updating demographics insurance information PCP pharmacy collecting co-pays and patient balances providing consents for signature and health questionnaires
- Check out patients collecting additional balances providing visit summaries specialist referral information patient portal information completed forms and follow-up appointments
- Verify patient insurance through Batch Eligibility or on demand contacting patients whose insurance is not active or PCP is not appropriate
- Post patient charges and payments completing charge and payment reconciliation
- Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system
- Sort and deliver mail and PA documents received by courier maintaining a clean work area and patient waiting area
- Participate in staff and educational meetings
