Job Requirements
- Fluent bilingual in Spanish and English
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Valid and active driver’s license upon hire and during employment
- Ability to perform patient-facing duties
- Ability to work indoors, stand and sit for extended periods
- Willingness to travel 15-20% to other office locations with reimbursement
- Capacity to lift or carry up to 10 lbs
- Ability to operate a computer, scanner, printer, fax
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to information security policies
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Ability to learn and practice Pediatric Associates procedures, policies, and protocols
- Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal skills for communication
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired
- Ability to interact effectively, support staff and maintain professional relationships
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional phone etiquette
- Use good judgment and maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to file alpha and numerically
- Experience using computer systems, scanner, printer, fax

Job Duties
- Check-in patients upon arrival, update demographics and insurance information, collect co-pays and patient balances, provide consents and health questionnaires
- Check-out patients, collect additional balances, provide visit summaries and referral information, schedule follow-up appointments
- Verify patient insurance and contact patients with inactive insurance or inappropriate PCP
- Post patient charges and payments, complete charge and payment reconciliation
- Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system
- Sort and deliver mail and prior authorization documents, maintain a clean work and patient waiting area
- Participate in staff and educational meetings
