Job Requirements

  • Fluent bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Valid and active driver’s license upon hire and during employment
  • Ability to perform patient-facing duties
  • Ability to work indoors, stand and sit for extended periods
  • Willingness to travel 15-20% to other office locations with reimbursement
  • Capacity to lift or carry up to 10 lbs
  • Ability to operate a computer, scanner, printer, fax
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to information security policies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Ability to learn and practice Pediatric Associates procedures, policies, and protocols
  • Proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal skills for communication
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired
  • Ability to interact effectively, support staff and maintain professional relationships
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional phone etiquette
  • Use good judgment and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to file alpha and numerically
  • Experience using computer systems, scanner, printer, fax
  • Fluent bilingual in Spanish and English

Job Duties

  • Check-in patients upon arrival, update demographics and insurance information, collect co-pays and patient balances, provide consents and health questionnaires
  • Check-out patients, collect additional balances, provide visit summaries and referral information, schedule follow-up appointments
  • Verify patient insurance and contact patients with inactive insurance or inappropriate PCP
  • Post patient charges and payments, complete charge and payment reconciliation
  • Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system
  • Sort and deliver mail and prior authorization documents, maintain a clean work and patient waiting area
  • Participate in staff and educational meetings
