Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records
  • At least 1 year of medical office experience
  • Proven ability to work with Google Suite software or equivalent (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Full range of body motion including handling and transferring patients, manual and finger dexterity
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, bend, kneel, and reach overhead for prolonged periods
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 15 lbs
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • Ability to operate a computer and telephone
  • Own means of transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology
  • At least 1 year of medical office experience
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records
  • Proven ability to work with Google Suite software or equivalent such as MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of medical coding preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet patients in a courteous and polite manner
  • Conduct all front office functions as requested
  • Handle all front desk operations including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, balancing daily collections, addressing routine inquiries, and triage calls
  • Complete patient phone calls including proactive care coordination, medication reminders, appointment reminders, transitional care management, and documentation
  • Assist with patient appointments including preparation, form completion, check-in, check-out, payment collection, and follow-up
  • Maintain patient medical records in accordance with Center policy
  • Assist with inventory and maintain office supplies
  • Manage patient records including medication sheets, questionnaires, screening forms, vaccinations, and other medical documents
  • Provide patients with appropriate medical wellness paperwork to complete
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
