Job Requirements

  • Six months related experience
  • Accurate computer and keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary for safe patient service
  • Proficient in operating telephone, headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine
  • Reliable transportation for floating among multiple clinic sites
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional weekend shifts
  • Ability to handle last-minute schedule changes and site switches
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Six months related experience
  • Accurate computer and keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
  • Proficiency in operating telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photo copier and fax machine
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and structured environment
  • Ability to sit for long periods

Job Duties

  • Answer and respond promptly to incoming telephone calls from patients and employer groups
  • Meet department-specific agent expectations for call handling
  • Follow established guidelines and processes within the department
  • Greet patients and provide front desk support including co-pay collection
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and referrals
  • Support departmental clerical duties
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure quality service through courteous assistance
