Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of receptionist experience or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Cognitive skills for math decision making and excellent communication
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds using proper techniques
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment
- Willingness to follow HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Flexibility to travel between clinic locations as needed
- Commitment to professional and patient-centric service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 plus years of receptionist experience
- Previous orthopedic clinic experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage patient interactions professionally
- Skilled in AIDET process
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive patient situations
- Basic math and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry
Job Duties
- Obtain patient’s demographic information verify insurance and check patient into the clinic
- Welcome patients and demonstrate the effective use of the AIDET process
- Organize charts for providers compare it to the schedule and make charts for any late add-ons
- Collect and enter co-pays and self-pays correctly and appropriately follow update remarks in the patient’s account
- Manage difficult or emotional patient situations in an effective professional manner
- Manage imaging and orders and send them to the appropriate resource
- Proactively check out each patient including producing work school slips for patients
- Open and close the office to prepare for the next day clinic
- Follow all HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Flexibility to travel between locations as needed until new location is established
- Other duties as required to support the clinic
