Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • Ability to provide high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal and external customers
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff, and patients in a timely, confidential manner
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 16 years of age
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • One year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level of customer service
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment

Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person and via telephone
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Check in and check out patients according to established protocols
  • Schedule patient appointments effectively
  • Register patients accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with physicians, clinic staff, and patients
  • Support administrative functions and manage communication flow within the psychiatric department
