Job Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Ability to provide high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal and external customers
- Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff, and patients in a timely, confidential manner
- Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- One year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level of customer service
- Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and welcoming patients and others in person and via telephone
- Answer incoming calls in a professional manner
- Check in and check out patients according to established protocols
- Schedule patient appointments effectively
- Register patients accurately
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with physicians, clinic staff, and patients
- Support administrative functions and manage communication flow within the psychiatric department
