Job Requirements
- high school diploma preferred
- x-ray tech, medical assistant or related certification is a plus
- current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- prior experience with insurance verification and medical billing
- ability to communicate insurance concepts empathetically
- detail-oriented
- proficiency in medical billing software and EMR
- positive demeanor during financial discussions

Job Duties
- Master insurance verification by verifying coverage before services are provided
- excel at financial counseling by explaining costs and billing processes to patients
- solve billing problems by identifying and resolving discrepancies proactively
- drive patient satisfaction through exceptional service even in financial discussions
- be the face of AFC by greeting patients professionally and warmly
- own the front desk flow by processing payments, scheduling appointments, and managing patient check-ins efficiently
- protect patient information by maintaining organized records and following HIPAA regulations
