Job Requirements

  • post high school office procedures preferred
  • minimum one year of clerical and/or receptionist experience or six months in a medical setting
  • customer service experience
  • degree or relevant certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience
  • ability to work day clinic hours
  • must demonstrate discretion, good judgment, and professionalism

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • greet patients and visitors upon arrival
  • answer and direct incoming phone calls
  • assist patients and families with scheduling appointments and registering for services
  • enter charges accurately and post payments
  • perform batch balancing and cash reconciliation
  • operate basic office equipment such as computers, fax machines, and printers
  • maintain discretion and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and physicians
