Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • MediClear or equivalent HIPAA certification
  • intermediate or advanced computer skills
  • familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • clear verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • dependable with a service-oriented attitude
  • prior experience in medical front desk or reception roles preferred
  • knowledge of insurance processes preferred

Job Qualifications

  • working knowledge of insurance eligibility and authorizations preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and register patients
  • confirm demographics, collect signatures, and complete required forms
  • verify insurance, collect copays/fees, and log payments accurately
  • answer and route calls
  • schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments
  • notify staff of changes
  • provide prep/safety instructions and basic facility directions
  • coordinate with technologists/clinical staff to keep the day on time
  • maintain EMR accuracy
  • protect PHI and any on-site medications per policy
  • uphold professional, culturally sensitive customer service at all times
