Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • previous experience in a medical or outpatient setting preferred
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • maintains a valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance coverage
  • has a minimum of two years' experience driving a motor vehicle
  • motor vehicle driver record background check within acceptable company standards at time of hire and annually thereafter

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • prior administrative experience in a health care environment is preferred
  • possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • presents professional attitude, appearance and beyond stellar customer service skills and use of judgment
  • is detail oriented, organized and has strong data-entry skills
  • maintains a valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance coverage
  • has a minimum of two years' experience driving a motor vehicle
  • motor vehicle driver record background check results are within acceptable company standards at time of hire and annually thereafter

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients with professionalism and compassion
  • manage scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and insurance verification
  • handle phone calls, documentation, and administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly
  • collaborate with clinical staff to ensure an outstanding patient experience
  • welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone
  • answer or refer inquiries
  • receive referrals and understand type of insurance benefits available
  • verify insurances and obtain authorization from insurance companies
  • schedule patient appointments
  • register patients
  • check patients in and out
  • collect copays at the time of each appointment and follow procedures for co-payment deposits
  • perform credit card transactions
  • maintain patient account balances
  • work with electronic medical records
  • file, fax, and scan documents
  • manage and order office supplies
  • complete billing and payroll data entry
  • schedule breaks and lunches with aides to ensure front office is covered
  • complete clinic opening and closing duties as required
