Job Requirements
- Minimum of six months related experience
- accurate computer and keyboarding skills required
- knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
- proficiency in operating telephone, headset, PC, printer, photocopier, and fax machine
- ability to sit and key for extended periods
- comfortable asking patients for copays and race collection
- ability to maintain good patient relations and confidentiality
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
Job Qualifications
- At least six months of related experience
- accurate computer and keyboarding skills
- knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
- proficiency in operating office equipment
- some medical background preferred
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- human relations sensitivity and customer service skills
- knowledge of medical terminology desirable
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- ability to work in a fast-paced and structured environment
Job Duties
- Greet patients upon arrival
- collect co-pays from patients
- schedule follow-up appointments and referrals
- support departmental clerical duties
- provide timely and courteous assistance to patients
- ensure quality service support at the department/site
- operate office equipment including telephone, PC, printer, photocopier, and fax machine
