Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general educational development (G.E.D.)
  • Six months previous customer service experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in operating computers and using scheduling and registration systems
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Register patients for appointments by collecting and verifying patient demographics and insurance information
  • Greet, direct, and assist patients with questions to facilitate patient care
  • Answer telephone to schedule appointments, take messages, and direct calls
  • Prepare records for office visits by reviewing electronic medical records
  • Handle insurance inquiries including assisting with referrals and paperwork
  • Process and distribute written communication and documents
  • Provide age-specific care to ensure patient comfort and understanding
