Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to travel within 30 minutes of home and float to various locations
- Commitment to adherence to HIPAA guidelines and office policies
- Willingness to adapt work schedule to meet practice needs including occasional additional hours
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional behavior
- Demonstrated commitment to patient satisfaction and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
- Strong sense of accountability and dedication to patient care
- Exceptional focus on teamwork and ongoing education
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferred prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office
- Preferred experience with Epic electronic medical records system
- Preferred CPR certification
Job Duties
- Receive and direct all communications courteously and consistently adhering to HIPAA guidelines and office policy
- Greet patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and helpfully making them feel welcome and important
- Assist patients with the sign-in process and respond promptly to patient needs
- Support financial responsibilities including billing procedures, verifying information, preparing deposits and credit card batches
- Monitor office supply inventory and equipment, notify management when supplies are low and initiate ordering
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes including verifying demographic information, collecting copayments, scheduling appointments and posting payments
- Promote patient satisfaction through friendly and helpful interactions and communicate any issues to management
- Maintain efficient and accurate filing and record keeping systems
- Assemble new patient folders and retrieve/return records according to protocol
- Adapt work schedule to meet practice needs including additional hours and cross-coverage
- Serve as a pre-loader for EMR system
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
