Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
- Strong sense of accountability for improving patient care
- Willingness and ability to travel within 30 minutes of home
- Ability to support financial and clerical tasks accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple duties efficiently
- Available to work additional hours and cross-cover as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
- Strong sense of accountability and patient focus
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Dedication to ongoing education and quality care
- Prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office preferred
- Experience with Epic system preferred
- CPR certification preferred
Job Duties
- Receive and direct all communication courteously and consistently adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously making them feel welcome
- Assist patients with the sign-in process responding promptly to their needs
- Support financial responsibilities including verifying information, preparing bank deposits, and managing daily cash receipts
- Monitor office supply inventory and notify practice manager when supplies are low
- Manage patient check-in process verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting copayments, and ensuring completion of necessary paperwork
- Manage patient check-out process review charge slips, post charges and payments, collect balances and schedule future appointments
- Promote patient satisfaction through friendly interactions and communicate issues to direct manager
- Maintain efficient and accurate filing and records systems
- Assemble new patient folders and manage record retrieval and return
- Adapt work schedule to meet practice needs including cross coverage and extra hours
- Serve as a pre-loader for EMR system
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned
- Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
