Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to travel within 30 minutes of home to various locations
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
  • proficiency in basic office software and electronic medical record systems
  • willingness to work additional hours and cross cover as needed
  • commitment to patient-focused service and teamwork

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
  • strong sense of accountability and patient focus
  • dedication to teamwork and ongoing education
  • ability and passion to deliver high-quality care
  • prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office preferred
  • Epic system experience preferred
  • CPR certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Receives and directs all communication courteously and consistently adhering to HIPAA guidelines and office policy
  • greets patients and visitors promptly and courteously
  • assists patients with the sign-in process and responds to patient needs promptly
  • supports financial responsibilities including verifying billing information and preparing bank deposits
  • monitors office supply inventory and initiates ordering as needed
  • manages patient check-in process ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
  • manages patient check-out ensuring accurate posting of charges, collections, and appointment scheduling
  • promotes patient satisfaction through excellent service and communicates issues to management
  • maintains efficient filing and record maintenance
  • assembles new patient folders and handles records retrieval
  • adapts work schedule to meet practice demands including additional hours and cross coverage
  • serves as a pre-loader for electronic medical records system
  • performs other duties and projects as assigned
  • adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
