Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ability to travel within 30 minutes of home to various locations
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
- proficiency in basic office software and electronic medical record systems
- willingness to work additional hours and cross cover as needed
- commitment to patient-focused service and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs
- strong sense of accountability and patient focus
- dedication to teamwork and ongoing education
- ability and passion to deliver high-quality care
- prior receptionist or clerical experience in a medical office preferred
- Epic system experience preferred
- CPR certification preferred
Job Duties
- Receives and directs all communication courteously and consistently adhering to HIPAA guidelines and office policy
- greets patients and visitors promptly and courteously
- assists patients with the sign-in process and responds to patient needs promptly
- supports financial responsibilities including verifying billing information and preparing bank deposits
- monitors office supply inventory and initiates ordering as needed
- manages patient check-in process ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information
- manages patient check-out ensuring accurate posting of charges, collections, and appointment scheduling
- promotes patient satisfaction through excellent service and communicates issues to management
- maintains efficient filing and record maintenance
- assembles new patient folders and handles records retrieval
- adapts work schedule to meet practice demands including additional hours and cross coverage
- serves as a pre-loader for electronic medical records system
- performs other duties and projects as assigned
- adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
