Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • one year of general office or customer service experience
  • student or graduate assistant, intern, or student-oriented experience considered if detailed
  • punctual and reliable
  • ability to follow HIPAA regulations
  • ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy
  • ability to deliver patient-centered service
  • effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Receive, screen, handle, and distribute incoming calls
  • schedule and greet patients
  • collect payments and copays
  • ensure effective and timely patient flow
  • post and reconcile daily patient payments
  • update patient insurance information
  • scan and route patient paperwork appropriately
