Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or administrative roles preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Capability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in multitasking and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
- Basic computer skills including data entry
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel occasionally within Central Arkansas
- Physical ability to perform job tasks including sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Fantastic critical thinking skills
- Patience, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information
- Top-notch organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical office procedures
- Functional grasp of the English language for reading and writing using proper grammar
- Experience with basic computer data entry
Job Duties
- Care for patients' demographic data via electronic medical records
- Assess patient health insurance benefits and collect payments
- Schedule patient appointments
- Answer and direct calls with compassion and efficiency
- Maintain the lobby and patient waiting areas, cleaning spills as needed
- Ensure visitors are properly documented and monitored
- Manage personal cash drawer for patient payments with trustworthy behaviors
