Job Requirements

  • Post high school office procedures preferred
  • minimum one year of clerical and/or receptionist experience or six months in a medical setting
  • customer service experience
  • degree or relevant certificate may be substituted for experience
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle sensitive information discreetly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of clerical or receptionist experience or six months in a medical setting
  • customer service experience
  • degree or relevant certificate such as Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Health Unit Coordinator may substitute experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to operate multiple office equipment

Job Duties

  • Greeting patients and visitors
  • answering phones and directing calls
  • assisting patients and families with scheduling and registration
  • entering charges and posting payments
  • balancing batches and reconciling cash
  • operating office equipment
  • maintaining professionalism and discretion in all communications
